Is $3,000 to install a sliding shower door with 72x80 glass a fair price?

I recently received a quote for shower glass and am trying to determine if it's a good deal. The bathroom setup only allows for a barn door style. I'm concerned about water stains as my 14-year-old son, for whom the shower is intended, will not squeegee the glass.
