Is $12,000 to do a full bathroom demolition and remodel including ripping out everything and retiling a fair price?

I am looking for a way to just replace my cast iron tub, but two vendors have told me that is not possible and I would need a full demo/remodel. I love the current bathroom style and would prefer to keep it if possible. I am also curious about how a deglaze from 2016 has held up.
