Is $550 to replace steps completely (labor only) a fair price?

Project Details

I received this quote from two elder gentlemen who have done various small jobs for my mom in the past. They needed some work, and I had a few things I wanted done, including these steps, possibly the deck railing, and my fence. I haven't done this kind of work in years, so I'm a bit out of practice when it comes to quoting. They do solid work, but they are older and a bit slow; I estimate it will take them about 10-12 hours. They've done good work for my mom before, around a 7-7.5 out of 10. I'm not going to nitpick little things as long as it's structurally sound. I wasn't looking for a cheaper price, but rather wanted to get opinions from others since I'm unfamiliar with decking price quotes, as I would usually do this myself. The consensus seems to be that the quote is on the low side, so I won't complain.

Quote Details

This quote is for labor only to completely replace the existing steps. I will be paying for all materials separately. The work includes: - New posts - New steps - New railing - Add a gate at the bottom of the steps - Enclose the sides to prevent dogs from digging underneath - Dig beneath the stone steps, square off the area, add gravel, and repeat the stone steps - Haul away all trash
