Is $18,000 to install a Trex deck a fair price?
Project Details
I am seeking a sanity check on the quality of a Trex deck installation. The contractor is returning to finish and make adjustments. I am concerned about 'waves' in the Trex decking, which the contractor attributes to settling and wood drying, stating adjustments will make it flush. The stairs are also barely started. This is my first experience hiring a contractor, who is a family friend, and I did not get other quotes. I am not going to accept the waves and will be asking about the plan for the stairs on the ground.
