Is $3,000 to power wash and stain a 250 sqft deck a fair price?
Project Details
I have a deck on my house, approximately 25x10 feet, which was built about 8 years ago. I'm looking to sell my house, and my realtor mentioned the deck could use some work. My immediate thought was to power wash and stain it. I've had difficulty finding someone to do the job; one company didn't show up for an estimate. A second place quoted $3000 for power washing and staining, which seems like a really high price to me. I'm wondering if that price is reasonable or if there are other suggestions to make the deck shine.
