Is $1,000 to install 3 unit-specific surge protectors a fair price?
Project Details
My current systems are Trane units, which replaced our Carriers after 20 years. I'm questioning whether getting unit-specific surge protectors is a good idea, especially since I believe the proposed bid of $1,000 for three is too high, as I know they cost around $125 each. I would consider hiring an electrician to do the work if I thought it was needed. I have also observed electricians in new construction putting in surge protectors on every electrical panel.
