Is $2,000 to install 3 ethernet ports in a condo a fair price?
Project Details
I hired contractors through a website to install 3 ethernet ports in my condo. The initial estimate was around $1100 CAD, but after the job was finished, the boss charged $2000 CAD plus tax. They said it took longer than expected (2 days, estimated 15 hours total) and they had to move furniture. They changed the dates on me the day before and were late both work days. The furniture they moved wasn't heavy. They also left holes in the drywall that the workers were willing to fix, but management refused. I was told a drywall repair would cost about $1100 CAD + HST. There was no price breakdown given for the final charge, and there was no contract, just an estimate. I don't think $2000 CAD is fair for 3 ports based on what I've seen online for 'Large projects'. I'm wondering if the price is justified and if I'm justified in leaving a bad review.
