Is $5,800 to install 210 feet of 6-foot privacy fence a fair price?
Project Details
I usually do my own work but recently had surgery, so I'm hiring a contractor for this project. I've never hired a contractor before, so I'm generally curious if this is a good deal. The contractor did my buddy's house fence about 6 years ago, which was three times as big and cost $4500. That fence is solid and looks great even after a couple years of rough storms, so I wanted to give him the first quote. I am amazed at how much lumber and labor has gone up though.
