Is $16,000 to install Fabrica Splendore nylon carpet a fair price?
Project Details
I promised my wife we'd replace the super cheap poly carpet the seller put in our home just to sell it this year. It flattened in 2 years, and we waited 4. We have a 2-story house with carpeted stairs, 3 kids, and a cat. With the kids running all up and down those stairs, I need nylon rather than Smartstrand. The kids love to lie on the carpet and play, so I wanted soft carpet. My wife would go hardwood in an instant, but I love having a cozy, quiet floor upstairs. The project is over the desired budget either way, but I have the cash; it just means I delay buying a new car another year, when my old 2008 one still works. I'm having a hard time making the call and would love some opinions.
