Is $10,000 to install LVF over existing floors a fair price?
Project Details
My husband and I are removing our wall-to-wall carpeting. We were planning to install Luxury Vinyl Flooring (LVF) but found wide wood planking underneath. I am considering restoring the planks instead of installing LVF. I will be removing the existing carpeting myself. The area is about 1,000 sqft, and our house is 125 years old. We are not flooring savvy and are seeking a second opinion on LVF and other options, including the possibility of restoring the existing planks, which appear to have some finishing or paint on them.
