Is $2,500 to rip up extra plywood and replace base molding a fair price?
Project Details
Just bought my first home. Master bedroom (400sqft) was carpeted and we decided to lay down hardwood instead. The hallway leading into the bedroom is already hardwood. Upon ripping up the carpet it was discovered that the previous owner had laid down 1/2” plywood on top of the 3/4” plywood such that if we laid down hardwood to match our hallway that it would be 1/2” too high and require a reducer.
