Is $9,500 to prepare concrete slab and apply Spray-Lock SCP 578 a fair price?
Project Details
I recently purchased a home where about 2,000 sq ft of LVP flooring failed after three years. A calcium chloride test showed a high MVER of over 11 lbs. The recommended fix was to apply SCP 578, but the slab couldn't absorb it initially. After the prep and application, the MVER is now 4.5 lbs. The flooring seller/installer is satisfied this meets warranty requirements when installed over 6 mil poly. I am wondering if I have any reason for concern or if this meets industry standards.
