Is $2,000 to install a door in a basement doorway a fair price?
Project Details
I have a basement doorway that is 59 3/8 inches wide, which I believe is an unusual size that doesn't fit standard single or double doors. I want to install a door to provide privacy for a guest bedroom, ideally without building more wall. I'm considering a sliding door but am concerned about privacy. The $2000 quote I received seems too high, and I'm looking for less expensive suggestions.
