Is $15,000 to repair a sinking concrete block foundation with steel piers a fair price?
Project Details
I recently purchased a house with a concrete block foundation and noticed a few vertical cracks (the largest is 1/8 inch) in some blocks. I contacted a foundation repair company for an estimate. I cannot afford the $15,000 cost and am looking for advice on whether I can wait to fix the foundation or if there are less expensive options. I haven't observed any cracks in my walls, uneven floors, or stair-step cracks.
