Is $500 to do a foundation report/inspection a fair price?
Project Details
I noticed cracks in floor tiles, walls, and ceiling in my master bedroom and bath, where an additional room was attached. This started in February of this year. I had my sewer replaced in 2021, and the company confirmed the sewer pipe was being crushed at the same spot, though they denied responsibility for the settling. I've consulted three foundation companies; one offered a paid report, and the other two provided conflicting assessments and repair suggestions (piers vs. poly foam) with a significant price difference of about $15,000. I'm having one of the companies re-do their report as I'm unsure which route to take.
