Is $500 to clean and repair rusty furnace burner a fair price?
Project Details
I have a contract with a company for basic HVAC unit maintenance and inspection. We replaced our furnace 3 years ago and joined this program to keep the unit healthy. They recently did a tune-up and inspection, and everything looked fine except for rust on the burner. I'm concerned the $500 price for cleaning and repairing the rust seems steep. We had humidity issues over the summer, which we've since resolved, and I hope this fix prevents future rust. I'm willing to get the work done but plan to call around for better pricing.
