Is $800 to recharge AC system with 2.5 lbs of 410A refrigerant a fair price?

Project Details

I received a quote today to top off my AC system with 2.5 lbs of 410A refrigerant, and I thought the cost seemed really high. The technician performed diagnostics and determined the system was 2 lbs low, but quoted for 2.5 lbs to be safe. The quote included over $500 in labor, which I find excessive unless the job takes several hours. I believe a cost of over $800 for this service is highway robbery.
