Is $3,000 to replace evaporator coil in a Rheem 2.5 ton package unit a fair price?

I have an evaporator coil leak in my Rheem 2.5 ton package unit (RGEA14024AJD061AA). This system was installed 6 years ago and is now completely out of warranty. I'm leaning towards just getting the evaporator coil replaced especially since the system is relatively new, but since the system is completely out of warranty, I asked for a quote for a replacement system. The sales guy who provided the quote for the Trane kept on talking about how the Rheem is a bad brand and he would normally suggest replacing the evaporator coil, but not in my system. He also said that there are two evaporator coils in my system and with one leaking, the other one is likely to start leaking soon too. I feel like he was just a sales guy sales guy-ing, but wanted the opinions of people more versed in HVAC than I am.
