Is $2,200 to replace blower motor and housing in AC unit/furnace a fair price?
Project Details
My AC unit/furnace, which is 24 years old, started making terrible noises like a washing machine on a spin cycle. An HVAC company diagnosed the motor as running really hot (I confirmed it was 120F with a temp gun). I'm unsure if the quoted price is fair or if I'm being overcharged, as I have no idea about typical HVAC costs.
