Is $4,000 to install a Reme Halo system a fair price?
Project Details
I had an HVAC company check what I believed was a leak from my furnace cabinet. The technician explained it was condensation from the A/C struggling with humidity, showing organic growth and a rusting filter, and noted the existing UV light was burnt out. He then quoted a Reme Halo system. I'm questioning if this is a legitimate solution or an upsell, especially since he didn't suggest other fixes like replacing the UV bulb. My initial theory for the issue was a clogged drain, but the technician didn't indicate a problem there. I'm a first-time homeowner, and my current system was installed in 2018 by previous homeowners.
