Is $2,072 to install an IAQ-3000 AirRanger with Active BioForce Defender UV a fair price?

Our HVAC maintenance company has been coming out twice a year for three years. This year, they performed a long checklist and recommended several things, including addressing 'organic growth' in our attic unit. They showed us a picture of it, and we're concerned because we have a toddler. We haven't noticed any musty smells. I'm wondering how concerned we should be about this organic growth and if we should get the UV light, as I've heard they can be costly to maintain and potentially degrade the unit over time. Our unit is about 7 years old.
