insulate joists with spray foam

Is $7,000 to insulate joists with spray foam a fair price?

Project Details

I was quoted almost $7k for some foam, so I'm doing this myself slowly. I'm using R-7.5 wall panels and then spray foaming the edges. The concrete that the joists sit on is slanted, and I'm unsure if I should leave an air gap or push the foam board all the way back against the exterior.

Spray 5" open cell foam on rim joists

This quote is for spray foam insulation for the rim joists of my cantilevered house. - Rim Joist Depth: 3 feet - Total Length: 176 linear feet - Material: 5 inches of open cell foam - Contractor Recommendation: Open cell foam is suggested due to the deep cavities (over 10-12 inches) to prevent production issues that can arise from building closed cell foam too thick in such depths.
