Is $30,000 to remodel a kitchen including adding counters/cabinets to one wall and adding an electrical box a fair price?

I had my kitchen remodeled 8 months ago for $30,000. I'm watching HGTV shows and seeing kitchens that look nicer costing less, which makes me unhappy with what I paid. My kitchen isn't huge. No walls were removed, and no island was added. The main work was adding counters and cabinets to one wall and adding a dedicated electrical box, which seemed to take the longest. We didn't pick high-end materials. Appliances were separate. I'm wondering if $30,000 was a fair price.
