Is $500 to get a wall bridge for cabinets a fair price?

I am a new homeowner and want to install an over-the-range microwave to replace a non-working hood. The current cabinets above the hood are custom, measuring 18 inches in height, 30 inches across, and 12-13 inches deep. I'm considering removing these cabinets and putting in 11x30 ones, but I'm not trying to spend much just for a wall bridge. I'm also concerned that the microwave might be too low from the bottom to the stovetop.
