Is $12,000 to install solar heating for a swimming pool a fair price?

I am looking for experience with using solar to heat a swimming pool. I live in Palm Springs, which has 360 sunny days a year. I am considering a solar installation to heat my pool, as using gas heat currently costs $20-$75 a day, and I believe solar could pay for itself quickly. However, I have concerns about its efficiency. I already have solar panels for my house, which Tesla claims are working at 102% of expected kW, and the battery powers the house during peak periods, but I still get a $2k+ true-up at the end of the year. I have a zoom meeting with Tesla later this week regarding my existing house solar. I am looking at different options for pool heating, and I've heard that tubing systems are only good for about 10 degrees during spring and fall and don't do much in the winter.
