Is $115,000 to replace a failed 40-foot beam in the crawlspace a fair price?

Project Details

I am looking at this house, and the addition that was added years ago has had the beam in the crawlspace fail after years of water flooding the crawl space. My brother (who has way more construction knowledge than me) and I crawled under the house today and it appears that the joists seem to be fine however obviously the beam has failed. My construction knowledge isn’t great and I could be completely wrong but $115k just feels insane. I understand it’s not going to be cheap but over $100k just seems crazy. I want to make sure that sounds at least somewhat fair before deciding what to do.
