Is $200 to fix a destroyed wall post-wallpaper a fair price?

My wall was destroyed after wallpaper removal, and I found the task to be out of my skill set. I hired someone off of Craigslist who worked from 9 am to 6 pm. He made a strange comment about loving toes, and I think he gave us a discount because we were two girls.
