Is $3,000 to fix master shower leak and structural support a fair price?
Project Details
We bought a house where a previous inspection, which my realtor sent us, had identified water in the walls/ceiling in the exact spots it's now leaking from. The sellers' realtor claimed the inspector was wrong and there were no active leaks, and the damage was painted over and patched up. We moved in this past Friday, and two days later, we found water dripping from the garage ceiling. I know I should have looked at the first inspection report more closely, but it was chaotic with selling my own home and managing my kids. Nothing about water damage was disclosed. This is a major upgrade in home for us and just really stinks. I've already filed a claim against the inspection we hired. I'm wondering if we have a chance to hire an attorney to get the damages covered, especially given the shady behavior of the sellers' realtor.
