Is $75,000 to build a concrete pool a fair price?
Project Details
I've been considering doing the traditional concrete/gunite route but have had a hard time dropping $150k+. I've also considered fiberglass. The quotes I've been getting for similar style/size pools have been between $100k and $150k. It could be due to my area (rural Hudson Valley) where there aren't many pool contractors, but being relatively close to NYC (within 2.5 hours) might also drive prices up. I'm intrigued by Modul Pools' claim of building a concrete pool in under 6 weeks for under $75k, especially since I want a slightly smaller pool. I almost bought a different 'modpool' a few years ago but realized it was scammy, so I'm wondering if this is similar or actually legitimate. I realize you often pay for what you get, but I'm looking for a more affordable option.
