Is $950 to replace roof vents and repair shingles a fair price?

I recently had some plastic vents on my roof replaced with metal, and possibly shingles as well. I was quoted $950 for the 3 vents, labor, and shingles, and that's exactly what the invoice was for. The problem is it's a single item "roof repair." I asked the roofer to itemize what is under the "repair" before I paid, and they simply said no, they don't itemize because it would make their billing very complicated. I have really never dealt with a roofer before. They came highly recommended, and after having multiple roofers on my roof, they seemed the right choice. I'm wondering if this is normal or some sort of industry standard, or if I should push back on knowing exactly what I am paying for. I'm asking how many shingles, how many vents, and how much labor was involved.
