Is $24,000 to replace roof (approx. 30 squares) a fair price?

I live in Chattanooga in a regular one-story house. My roof is over 20 years old. I received a 24k quote after a heavy rain, which felt high. I've since received two more quotes for 19k and 21k, but they were vague on details.
