Is $1,000 to install two whirly bird attic vents and two heat trace cables a fair price?

I was quoted $1000 for this work and I am to supply the vents and cables. I just wanted a second opinion if this is a fair price or if I should tell him to fly a kite? I live in northern Ontario for reference.
