Is $14,000 to remove copper box gutters and replace with aluminum a fair price?
Project Details
I have copper box gutters on my 55-year-old house. A tree fell and damaged a 3-foot section, and some of the seams are leaking. I've received several suggestions/quotes for repair. I've been told that soldering the gutter might not work because the overlap section can't be properly cleaned, which I conceptually understand. I also don't think slathering silicone sealant is a quality, long-term solution. I'm told that the box the gutter is in might also need to be replaced, and I'm concerned about that cost.
