Is $500 to replace a bathroom window a fair price?

I recently purchased a duplex and I have a window in my lower unit bathroom that needs replacing because there 's a horizontal crack in the pane itself. I think the quote is a rip off and really only want the glass fixed and maybe repainted. I'm wondering if this is a DIY-able fix or if I should get a professional.
