Is $20,000 to replace six single-panel windows with Marvin Ultimate a fair price?
Project Details
My house was built in 1952, and I want to replace the single-panel windows while keeping the original thick Douglas Fir frames. I got two quotes for replacing six windows. Outfit ALPHA quoted around $20,000 for Marvin Ultimate windows, and Outfit GAMMA quoted $17,000 for Marvin Infinity windows. Both quotes include windows and labor. I'm confused because I thought Marvin Infinity windows were considered nicer than Ultimate, but the quote for Infinity is less. I'm trying to understand if I'm missing something or if Infinity is actually inferior to Ultimate.
