Is $4,500 to perform a full shower redo based on hollow sounding tiles a fair price?
Project Details
I noticed a small section of grout missing in between two wall tiles at the base with a hole behind it about 1 1/2 inches deep. The tile feels solid with no movement or visible water damage in the adjacent closet. One contractor claims the tiles sound hollow and there is no backer board, while another suggests a shower pan or drain issue.
