Is $20,000 to demolish old tile and install new tile flooring a fair price?
Project Details
I am undergoing a full gut renovation of my high-rise condo. After the demolition of the old tile, a thick mortar bed was found. The GC patched the entire floor with Type M concrete, and soundproofing is planned to go over it. I've noticed some ridges, and the floor isn’t perfectly smooth. I'm questioning if I should have them redo and demo to the concrete subfloor before the new tile goes down. I'm also unsure about the bonding agent and if it's too late to have them redo it with new mortar over the top.
