Is $36,000 to tear down and rebuild a ~25x14 ft composite deck a fair price?

Project Details

I am considering whether to tear down and rebuild our deck myself or hire a contractor. I used the StrongTie deck building tool for the design and material list, which estimated the cost at roughly $9.3k. I wouldn’t look to reuse any of the existing structure. I've never taken on a project this big and am nervous about being in over my head. My only prior experience is putting up a vinyl fence with my dad. With a 9-5 job and a young kid, I don't have much free time. Cost is the biggest factor, and money is tight with a young toddler. The existing deck is almost a perfect rectangle with an additional 2ft x 10 ft combined set of stairs from a mud room and a 3 season room. The current deck is becoming a safety issue. While I like learning and doing things myself, spending this much money on a project makes me uncomfortable at the moment. The plans I have call for 4 posts roughly 12 ft away, and it looks straightforward, but I worry due to lack of experience.
