Is $25,000 to build a 20x12 elevated deck a fair price?
Project Details
I recently shopped for quotes for a 20x12 deck. One vendor didn't even respond. The two that showed up and offered quotes were both north of $25k. This seemed extremely high to me (> $100 per square foot), especially considering that I ordered a shed recently with roughly the same dimensions (20x10) that was delivered for less than a third of that price (with walls, windows, doors, and a roof). I am questioning if this is normal and reasonable.
