Is $550 to install a single ethernet drop a fair price?
Project Details
I am trying to drill a hole from the inside of my home through the drywall, insulation, a stone layer, and brick veneer to install an ethernet line outdoors. I have a DeWalt 20V Hammer Drill XR (DCD805B) and a Diablo Red Granite Plus drill bit (DMARG1160). I was able to get through drywall, insulation, and the stone layer, but I am unable to get through the layer of brick on the outside. I am drilling from the inside because the location is 15 feet off the ground and I don’t have a stable ladder to do so from outside. I was planning to peep out of windows to zip tie the cable to existing CCTV cables to tidy the look up. I’ve also considered taking apart the window trim since the cord would be ran right under the window, but I don’t feel too comfortable doing so.
