Is $5,000 to tear out all existing bathroom tile a fair price?
Project Details
I've read a lot about the pros and cons of going over tile. Ideally, I'd love to tear everything out of this ugly locker-room tile bathroom, but I'm also not wanting to break the bank as I may not be here for more than a few years, and the shower tile is a lot. My master bathroom has the same awful tile, so trying to totally tear out both isn't financially feasible. I have somebody who can do the LVP who's well-versed in the installation, but I still wanted input as this tile is awful and I don't want issues down the road with laying over the tile. I'm changing out the vanity and fixtures, so I figured at least doing the floor right now would make sense.
