Is $12,000 to install Pergo Duracraft vinyl flooring a fair price?

I was looking to swap out my old carpet for vinyl flooring. I'm seeking suggestions for other brands or things to be aware of. I'm also concerned about the mixed and negative reviews for the installation company Lowe's is sending. I chose Lowe's because I have a high-limit Lowe's card and wanted to avoid financing elsewhere or running my credit.
