Install garage epoxy coating without vapor barrier

This option involves installing an epoxy coating on the garage floor. The installer believes a vapor barrier layer is not needed as the homeowner's newer home should already have one below the slab. The work can be completed in one day. The homeowner notes that installing epoxy without a vapor barrier might be a gamble. The installer has good reviews, a decade of experience, and is communicative. The estimated cost is in the low $2000s.
