Is $120 to replace a transition piece a fair price?

I've noticed an area around my entry way where the flooring is coming up a bit with cracks in 4 planks. I'm wondering how to repair this, possibly with flooring filler. The transition piece is also looking rough, and I'm considering replacing it or using filler. The original installer, who also supplied the planks, stated that the color is no longer available and is refusing to help with the flooring. I'm wondering if this is something I can do myself, as I haven't done flooring before but have repaired drywall.
