Is $6,000 to change the flooring a fair price?
Project Details
I recently bought an apartment and I'm not happy with the brand new, glossy tiles throughout the living space. Every footprint and bit of dirt shows, making me feel like I'd have to clean them constantly. I'm debating whether to replace them entirely or try to improve the look in another way, like adding rugs, polishing, or changing the grout to light grey to hide imperfections. I feel bad about ripping out perfectly new tiles, but since I'll be living here for the foreseeable future, I want to make the right choice. The realtor says I'm the only one unhappy and won't change them, and I'm angry about the work they did.
