Is $6,000 to install rubber floor tiles in an 8 sq metre kitchen a fair price?

I'm looking for feedback on a quote to install rubber floor tiles in my ~8 sq metre kitchen. The $6,000 price seems a bit steep, even though the Pirelli style tiles are pricey and the quote includes resurfacing (removing old screed and laying new surface). I'm not sure if the resurfacing is necessary and I'm a bit shocked by the price for such a small kitchen.
