Is $450 to upgrade to a media filter a fair price?
Project Details
I moved into a new home build and opted for an upgraded media filter for $450. I was expecting something like an Aprilaire 1410 16x25 Merv 11 Media Air Cleaner, but was surprised by what was actually installed. When the metal door is closed, the filter feels wedged, but there is a noticeable gap on the top. I am questioning if this is effective and if I should complain to my builder. My home has a one-year warranty, and the builder and subcontractors have been very responsive.
