Is $6,095 to replace central AC condenser and evaporator coil a fair price?
Project Details
My central AC went out because the compressor is shot. The current unit is just over 10 years old and started having issues last year, so I'm not surprised. I trust my usual AC repairman, who runs a local small family HVAC business. The house is a double-wide mobile home with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The original AC unit installed in 1999 was a Nordyne, and the one replaced in 2015 was a Goodman. I'm looking to stay within this price range.
