Is $700 to replace a control board a fair price?

I was quoted $700 to replace the control board, with the part alone being $500. I'm trying to replace it myself but I can't find the control board in the top or bottom cabinet, and I'm having trouble finding the correct part online. I found an ignition controller online for $150, which makes me want to double-check the quote.
