Is $600 to clean condensation drain lines for two HVAC units a fair price?
Project Details
I have a service maintenance contract with One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning that costs me about $400 a year, covering spring and fall service visits for my two Rheem HVAC units. These units were installed in late 2018 and have a 10-year parts and labor warranty. Today, during a service visit, I was told my condensation drain lines weren’t draining well. I panicked about potential ceiling leaks and agreed to the extra service. I'm upset with myself for overpaying and feel I got taken advantage of, especially since the company frequently tries to upsell me on services. I'm considering leaving them once my units are out of warranty.
